La iglesia de Turi se ubica al oeste de la plaza, esta rodeada al este y oeste por pequeñas colinas, al sur se ubican como fondo casas, y de frente en el se enmarca la ciudad. Su ubicación es privilegiada, por lo que la iglesia se ha constituido en un hito especial de Cuenca.
El exterior muestra en su fachada la estructuración de un primer cuerpo de reminiscencia clásica por la presencia de un pórtico. Los elementos mantenibles constituyen tres arcos de medio punto y cuatro columnas adosadas, mientras que los mantenidos, son el arquitrabe y la cornisa.
En sentido vertical, en el medio del cuerpo horizontal, se levanta la torres y el campanario de estilo barroco que le imprime equilibrio. Al final, la linterna remata sutilmente la torre, como una aguja.

La planimetría de la iglesia es de forma rectangular con el asentamiento de la direccionalidad en profundidad antes que en sentido transversal. Al inicio, a manera de vestíbulo entre lo exterior y lo interior, se presenta el soportal de la fachada, luego la sala de oración con tres naves, y al fondo el presbiterio con el altar mayor.
Los tres altares se adosan a la pared del fondo. El principal es barroco, pero no muy elaborado; son de poca importancia, en honor a Cristo y a la Virgen Cuencana. Como en muchas iglesias la capilla, se halla ubicada a la derecha del in icio de la nave lateral, y el coro, cubre el vestíbulo interior del templo.

Las paredes estructurales son de adobe, el frontispicio de piedra y ladrillo, la estructura interior de las tres naves, los tumbados y sus correspondientes columnas de madera. La estructura de la cubierta es resuelta en madera y cubierta con teja española tradicional.
